I entered Ngee Ann Polytechnic at 48.
Not because I had to. Not because I failed at anything else.
I entered because I saw something coming — and I knew that adding skills to an old identity would not be enough.
I needed a new identity.
I already had an NUS degree. I had authored 9 books. I had built a following on TikTok.
But I was not where I needed to be — and I knew that the path I was on would not take me there.
So I pivoted.
Not upgraded. Pivoted.
There is a difference.
Upgrading assumes you are on the right track — just needing more fuel. Pivoting assumes you need a new track entirely.
In the age of AI, upgrading is not enough. You need to transform.
That is what I did. That is what I am still doing.
If you are considering a late start — stop considering. Start.
It is not too late. I am proof.
